Browning’s average class size is 32 per grade level. Students are typically divided into two homeroom/advisory sections in the Lower School and three in the Middle School. In the Upper School there are approximately 14 advisories with no more than 10 boys in each.

In a time of changing gender and cultural expectations, a boys’ school may, at first glance, appear anachronistic. But here at Browning, we teach the competencies that allow boys to adapt to these changes while remaining true to themselves and their values.
The Browning School will consider for admission any child who (i) identifies as a boy or (ii) was assigned male at birth, who wishes to join a boys’ school and is well-served by our mission.
