19 de abr. de 2023 · TWENTY-seven years into her career as Nashville Pussy’s riotously talented and entertaining lead guitarist, Ruyter Suys believes she’s finally become influential. Suys lamented a decade ago that not enough young women were picking up rock guitars but as the band which launched a thousand internet censorship bots heads for its fourth decade, she is ecstatic that the tide had finally turned.
Ruyter Suys is quite a unique woman who decided to devote her life to rock ‘n roll. Well, “decided”… It appears that, for her, it was more like something she fell into and to which she immediately became addicted for life. To her, rock ‘n roll is “a religion, it is also my fuel, my passion, the air I breathe.
Guitarist Ruyter Suys generously took some time out of listening to the new Airborne album in the van to chat with us via phone about touring, Nashville Pussy’s music, and a couple other random tidbits. One important thing to note is that this transcript is no substitute for the twenty minute flow of rollicking fun Ruyter gave me.
