In 1932 Pye recruited Peter Goldmark, a 26 year old Hungarian inventor, to set up a television department. Goldmark demonstrated television to Prince George, later Duke of Kent, when he visited the Pye factory in 1932. Goldmark left Cambridge after 18 months when Pye told him that television would probably never be useful in the home.

9 de dic. de 2016 · In April 1966 Denis D’Ell, Alan Ward and Peter Pye left the group. D’Ell became a solo singer, usually of soul songs, and his “Better Use Your Head” (1967) became a 1970s favorite on the Northern Soul circuit. In the early seventies Denis formed a band with Rod Butler called Zarabanda and also fronted the Don Harvey band.

He writes of being unhappy with the prospect of National Health in Britian. I understand that he also had read "£200 Millionaire," by British sailor Weston Martyr, an introduction to the sailing life.
