Over the last seven years basketball at Tynecastle has become one of the most popular after school activities and we are very lucky to have a qualified coach, from West Edinburgh Warriors Basketball Club, delivering all the training sessions. Through basketball we aim to allow young people to work together in a challenging, dynamic and fun way.
30 de ene. de 2023 · The plans for the former Tynecastle High School have been controversial since being drafted up over a year ago but have finally been given the green light to go ahead. On top of 468-bed spaces, the original school hall will be repurposed as a central amenity hub, sitting within a collegiate-style courtyard space and providing high-quality shared facilities for student residents.

31 de ene. de 2023 · Charity People Know How will act as preferred operators for community facilities on the site. This which already works with Tynecastle High School, will operate a community facility within the building. People Know How will operate a community facility, with the option for other local community groups to use space.

Since 2017-18 P7 and S1 students have attended a STEM day at Edinburgh College (Midlothian Campus) to enhance their transition to Tynecastle High School. P7 students build rocket cars, do the egg drop challenge, investigate electricity and car sensors and build model bridges. S1 students build hot air balloons and wind turbine models.
