Peter Zinovieff (born 1933) is a British engineer and composer, whose EMS company made the synthesizer in the late 1960s. Zinovieff was born on 26 January 1933; his parents, Leo Zinovieff and Sofka, née Princess Sophia Dolgorouky, were both Russian aristocrats, who met in London after their families had emigrated to escape the Russian Revolution and soon divorced.

13 de jul. de 2023 · Peter Zinovieff was born 1933, studied Geology at Oxford, and took a D.Phil. in 1958 decoding the Cuillins on Skye. In 1960 he started developing an Electronic Music Studio which became the first computer-controlled studio in the world. EMS, which made synthesisers such as the VCS3, grew out of this studio.
