Parkdale School became an elementary school in the late 1970s when the older facility closed and grades 1-6 moved in. This building has remained an elementary school ever since. For many years the school experienced great stability and few changes in teaching staff with many teachers opting to spend most of their careers here.
Parkdale should be hailed as a Flagship for Perth and Kinross Council. It received a score of 6 for 'Care and Support' by The Care Commission this year. It is a spotlessly clean, friendly and caring place where the dedicated and highly trained staff welcome visitors and 'go the extra mile' for residents. in their care.
