Fay School’s boarding program, an option for seventh, eighth, and ninth graders, is specifically designed to meet the unique needs of junior boarders. Our boarding students come from across the United States and over 20 countries: together, they learn and grow in an environment of care and respect, while developing essential life skills that foster independence and self-confidence.
Fay School, founded in 1866 by the Fay sisters, is an independent, coeducational day and boarding school located in Southborough, Massachusetts.

At Fay, comprehensive tuition includes all fees for books and supplies, lunch and snacks, local field trips, programmatic trips, and athletics. Tuition also includes morning and after-school care, which is available for all Fay students.
Fay’s traditional academic curriculum for kindergarten - grade 9 is balanced with an innovative focus on creativity and design in every discipline. In every grade, students participate in classes where they are challenged to identify problems, think creatively, and iterate and test solutions.
