13 de dic. de 2021 · Laura-Mary Carter is, perhaps, more familiar to At The Barrier regulars as one half of Brighton alt-rock duo Blood Red Shoes. In her Blood Red Shoes guise with band partner Steven Ansell, Laura-Mary has been touring the world for the past 17 years and the duo have, in the process, released five albums, with a sixth, Ghosts On Tape, scheduled for January 2022.
Geschichte. Die Band besteht aus Laura-Mary Carter aus London und Steven Ansell aus Sussex.Sie wurde 2005 gegründet, nachdem sich ihre ehemaligen Bands Lady Muck bzw.Cat On Form auflösten. Nach über 300 Liveauftritten wurden sie im April 2007 beim Major-Label V2 unter Vertrag genommen. Im Laufe des Jahres folgten Auftritte u. a. bei Festivals wie Reading oder T in the Park.

3 de dic. de 2021 · Wem der Name Laura-Mary Carter ein Begriff ist, der wundert sich beim Anhören ihres brandneuen Minialbums wahrscheinlich über die melancholischen, country-angehauchten Folk-Rock Songs. Eigentlich ist sie nämlich bekannt als Hälfte des Duos Blood Red Shoes und steht damit eher für intensiven, lauten Alternative-Rock.
