The first three platters from The Gun Club are simply a tremendous revelation and one can say that The Las Vegas Story might be considered as the masterpiece in this trilogy. The feverish and nervous tension of their debut hinted into the Deep South and Delta Blues, though they came from L.A., telling stories about characters full of melancholy and desires like JLP was one on his own.
