Founded in 1898, Waynflete is a private coed day school located in Portland, Maine. We serve students and families from preschool through grade 12 by offering a diverse and inventive curriculum. We strive to engage the intellect and imagination of students and seek to inspire, empower, and guide them.
Students begin arriving at Waynflete at 8:00 a.m. The academic day starts at 8:10 a.m. Classes in the Lower and Middle Schools run until 3:25 p.m. The Upper School schedule rotates on a daily basis; the focus shifts to arts and athletics after 2:05 p.m., with the school day ending at 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays are half days at Waynflete with classes ...
