Supernatural (which unfortunately collides with Santana's new album with the same title) is, imho, a big disappointment for Robbin Ford fans. I understand he wanted to stretch out a bit to the mainstream, but this stuff is fluff.
Michael was an archangel that existed in the Apocalypse World. He is described as the "victor" and "the Genghis Khan" of that world, having conquered it. The CD begins however, with the first four songs sounding very much like vintage Robben Ford including the title track "Supernatural" written by Kevin Sandbloom (one of only two songs not penned by Robben), and two songs co-written with Michael McDonald (Doobie Brothers), including "Nothing to Nobody" which asks the question, what would life be like being responsible only for oneself?
