Of course, since this is the third edition of the same thing the score is a bit lower, but it still has some great tunes like "Summertime" and "Leave This City".

  5. Where the first two Sundays records let Wheeler's vocals be the star of the show, Static & Silence sees Gavurin's guitar playing really take centre stage. And, like, part of that is a shift in style, of course; this LP came out five years after their last but feels separated by at least ten, and I have to applaud The Sundays for switching it up so seamlessly after a pretty lowkey effort in Blind.

The Sundays went dark after that record’s release, although rumors of a reunion have persisted since a 2014 interview in which Wheeler and Gavurin mentioned the songs they had been writing.
