In 1960, he issued The Twang’s the Thang, his groundbreaking “unplugged” album Songs of Our Heritage and $1,000,000 Worth of Twang. The following year’s LP was Girls! Girls! Girls!, featuring him posing on the jacket with teen queens Brenda Lee and Annette.
19 de ene. de 2018 · There are also delightful divergences, like an album featuring only acoustic guitar and banjo, 1960’s Songs of Our Heritage, recorded to capitalize on the Folk Revival of the early ’60s, and The Roaring Twangies, a collection of big-band backed twang. Eddy’s post-’60s solo output has been sparse but choice.
This remastered collector’s edition presents two of Eddy’s most celebrated albums: The “Twangs” the “Thang” (1959) and Songs of Our Heritage (1960). Both LPs contain some of Duane Eddy’s !nest moments for the Jamie label during his early and most inspired years. In addition, we have included 7 bonus tracks from the same period.
