24 de feb. de 2017 · I first stumbled across Children of Alice, completely unaware of their identity as Cargil, House and another Ghost Box veteran Roj Stevens, via my discovery of the underrated research-project-cum-record-label Folklore Tapes, with the trio contributing a track to last year’s impressive compilation of music dedicated to midsummer rituals, Calendar Customs Vol. IV – Crown of Light.
Roj Stevens - keyboards James Cargill - bass Tim Felton - guitar Steve Perkins (2) - drums They first appeared on Wurlitzer Jukebox in 1996. Their experimental pop music references the work of BBC Radiophonic Workshop, Ennio Morricone or John Barry. At the time they were frequently associated with Stereolab.

Children Of Alice. Trio comprised of James Cargill (of Broadcast ), Roj Stevens (formerly of Broadcast) and Julian House ( The Focus Group ). The group's name is a tribute to Broadcast's Trish Keenan - Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland was a major influence for her, especially Jonathan Miller’s 1966 TV adaptation.
