Hour of the Wolf er det åttande studioalbumet til det kanadisk-amerikanske rockebandet Steppenwolf. Albumet kom ut i september 1975 på Epic Records . Andy Chapin erstatta den mangeårige klaverspelaren Goldy McJohn på dette albumet.

29 de jul. de 2020 · Steppenwolf released two more albums in the 70s: Hour Of The Wolf in 1975 and Skullduggery in 1976. While both had their share of blistering, bluesy hard rock, neither sold well, and the band decided to call it quits. John Kay put together a new band, and started touring as a solo act. And that was very nearly the end of the Steppenwolf story.

Steppenwolf julkaisi vielä myynnillisesti heikosti menestyneet albumit Hour of the Wolf (1975) ja Skullduggery (1976, lähinnä levy-yhtiön sopimusvelvoitteiden täyttämiseksi) ja hajosi jälleen vuonna 1976.
