3 de dic. de 2003 · As for flaws, I cant find any. I listened to this album straight through without skipping once. Bottom Line: Da Lench Mob's Planet Of Da Apes is unquestionable a highlight of 1994. Da Lench Mob still gives you gems on tracks like Planet Of Da Apes, Environmental Terrorist, Trapped, King Of The Jungle etc, the production is even better than before.

26 de dic. de 2016 · I was a pretty big fan of Guerrillas in Tha Mist. That album's gritty sound with Ice Cube's repetitive sample loops were a great fit for The Lench Mob's thuggish and energetic style. Their sophomore jinx is fine but it doesn't really feel like the same group.

Led by an incendiary video for the title track (based on the movie Predator), the album became popular within hip-hop circles, with confrontational tracks like "Freedom Got an A.K." and "Lost in tha System" almost as outspoken as Ice Cube himself. Though Planet of da Apes followed in 1994, Da Lench Mob disbanded soon after. ~ John Bush
