『in the light dub』は、その『in the light』のdubアルバム。『in the light』でもミックスを担当したprince jammyが制作。77年当時、まだ師匠king tubbyのもとでprinceを名乗っていたjammyが、tubby直伝のシャープに切れ味鋭いdubを炸裂。70年代末のjammyの代表作とも呼べる名作。

Dub just how I like it. "In the Light Dub" is every bit as good as its parent album, with throbbing bass that actually goes somewhere, an real musical direction and not just far-out echoey noodling, great effects and slight tidbits of Andy's voice to egg us on. It's not the all-time best dub album, but it's in the ballpark.
