Alas I have never been to France, but "The Voice of the Sparrow: The Very Best of Edith Piaf" helps me feel close to France. What a beautiful voice. In spite of all the years spent studying French I never did learn to speak French. Edith Piaf's song, "Je ne regrette rien" has motivated me to really try to learn to speak the language.
