The first sitting was held on 4 June 2014. Fifteenth Lok Sabha was constituted on 18 May 2009 and the first sitting of the House was held on 1 June 2009. There were in all fifteen sessions in Fifteenth Lok Sabha. Constituted on 10 October 1999, the first session of Thirteenth Lok Sabha commenced on 20 October 1999. Digital Sansad.
The Parliament acts as a co-legislator, sharing with the Council the power to adopt and amend legislative proposals and to decide on the EU budget.
